Dark and Stormy – A Tale of the Goodwin Sands – 22nd October 2022

The recent Launch Night of the joint Dark and Stormy art exhibition with the Trust and the Taylor-Jones gallery in Deal was a great success!   About 100 people filled the gallery to enjoy a mixture of art, sea shanties, poetry, artefacts and a display about the Goodwins – not forgetting of course the Dark and Stormy cocktails themselves!

As well as celebrating the beauty of the Goodwins through the work of Richard Taylor-Jones and eight local artists, the evening was unwittingly perfectly timed to celebrate the Port of Dover’s decision to abandon dredging the Goodwins for landfill.

Here is a small selection of the artwork and artefacts on display.

Dark and Stormy runs until Monday 14th November but for those who can’t make it you can view particulars of the art for sale here.
